Betsy has served people of age for more than twenty years — in human resources and as an assistant administrator and administrator. In the fall of 2003, she was named President and Chief Executive Officer for Bethany Life Communities. Betsy earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Grandview College, Des Moines, Iowa and the Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Drake University, Des Moines.  She is actively involved in the Iowa Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, serving on the Board of Directors and chairing the IAHSA Education Committee.   Betsy was born and raised in Story City, Iowa and continues to reside there with her family — with her husband Jay, two sons, and a daughter.
