Bethany Manor is our Medicare/Medicaid certified nursing facility which is licensed for 180 beds. Located in Story City, Iowa, Bethany Manor has a reputation of providing excellent care and joining with the community as we honor our seniors.
At Bethany Manor, our residents are supported by staff who care about their complete well-being. Bethany Manor provides nursing services which maintain dignity while encouraging as much independence and community involvement as possible.
Bethany Manor provides for those individuals who are in need of long term and hospice care. Within our specialized skilled care wing we serve those who have recently been discharged from a hospital setting and are in need of rehabilitative services. In addition, Bethany Manor has two secure memory care units which allow for enhanced safety and services for residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of advanced dementia.

Residents who require consistent daily care depend on the services we provide in our nursing facility. They are typically limited in their ability to perform many daily activities: toileting, bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing or ambulating. Nurses administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor.
The goal of our skilled care nursing services is to provide residents with the opportunity to rehabilitate and return to their homes. However, some choose to remain at Bethany Manor despite having completed their skilled care programs.
We strongly believe in a home-like enviroment philosophy. This philosophy incorporates children, plants and animals into daily living.This philosophy recognizes that the true plague of the elderly is not aging and disease, rather it is loneliness, helplessness, and boredom.

Faith-Based Chaplaincy Services Bethany Manor is a faith-based organization supported by 25 member churches in the area. Commitment to spiritual care is maintained by providing round-the- clock availability of chaplaincy service to residents, family members and staff. Our full-time chaplain conducts bi-weekly worship services, bible studies and one-to-one visits with residents. Our chaplain also provides end-of-life spiritual care and support to residents and their family members during this very difficult time.
Bethany Manor has adopted a service model that incorporates activities, pets, plants and children as a natural part of our resident’s daily experience. We strive to bring community to our residents in a way that enhances their involvement in daily activities and provides for continued relationships to be an important part of the resident’s life. Children Bring Joy At Bethany Manor, we know that children bring much joy to those we serve. Because of this, Bethany Manor provides space for an on-site Head Start Preschool program which provides our residents with one-on-one contact with children. Warm, Welcoming and Well-Maintained Bethany Manor is committed in providing a physical environment that is warm, welcoming, well-maintained and clean. Since 2004, our organization has invested well over $1million in updating the infrastructure of the building and by renovating several living areas. |

On-site activities coordinator Our Activities department is highly praised for continuously raising the bar in bringing exciting and highly anticipated fun to our residents and their families. From our famous Senior Prom, to the excitement of Senior Olympics and Scandinavian Days, to our family picnics; our residents find group and individual activities that meet their specific needs and desires. Restaurant style dining & Full-time dietary consultant Dining services at Bethany Manor is very enjoyable with restaurant style menus and service. Coffee time brings our residents together to enjoy afternoon treats and wonderful fellowship. Specialized dietary needs are managed by our full-time dietary consultant. Full-time hospitality specialist Bethany Manor has a full-time Hospitality specialist who helps new residents adjust to their new home and aid their families in bringing reassurance during these often difficult times. Large multi-purpose center Bethany Manor has a large multi-purpose center that residents and their families may use for reunions, birthday parties and other social events. Our Dietary department is available to cater special events. All-inclusive room rates Bethany Manor room rates are all-inclusive. There are no unexpected additional charges. |

Caregivers Improve Lives We value quality caregivers and strive to foster personal growth and teamwork. We have implemented an initiative called "Continuous Quality Improvement". After training, groups of employees are designated to improve upon processes that will ultimately improve the lives of the residents of Bethany Manor.
Always Improving As part of our continued effort to improve our services, we support "Quality First: A Covenant to Achieve Healthy, Affordable, and Ethical Aging Services". This initiative, led by the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), is a plan to achieve excellence in aging services and establish public trust.
Quality Control As an organization we have implemented a Quality Score Card with quality indicators which we track regularly and respond to immediately if any issues arise.
