Freedom and Security Timberland Village’s 36 independent living apartments have been designed to give tenants an opportunity to relax in a lovely and secure environment with fewer responsibilities or worries. These lovely apartments, along with Timberland Village’s wonderful staff, allow individuals to feel more secure and free to enjoy a more carefree lifestyle. Catered support services are available.
Individualized Care Assisted Living at Bethany Life Communities is part of the Timberland Village community. There are 24 apartments available with four levels of care. The level of care is determined through regular nursing assessments used to design a unique plan of service for each individual. Additional a la carte services are also available to ensure individual choice and to maximize comfort.
Priority Assistance The tenants of Timberland Village will be reassured in knowing the community has the ability to assist residents if they become sick or hurt with as little disruption as possible. All Timberland Village tenants receive priority access to our continuum of services.

A chaplain is available to offer tenants spiritual care and to help them thrive.

A Variety of Activities Timberland Village has many amenities to give our tenants the comfort and the opportunity for social fulfillment that they desire. Most days are filled with social activities for tenants. These activities include weekly chapel service, Bible study, poetry reading, shopping trips to Story City and Ames, reader's circle, crafts, sing-a-long, cards and games, wellness and exercise opportunities, coffee time and a real favorite BINGO!
Designed for Ease-of-Use Throughout the buildings people will quickly realize how the structures were designed to meet the convenience and safety needs of our tenants. In every building, outlets are placed higher for better access and easy-to-use door levers were installed for convenience. This, along with broader hallways, wider doorways and brighter lighting is all designed to make life easier. Our bathrooms have additional safety features including walk-in showers with adjustable wands and seating, higher toilets, safety grab bars and single handled faucets. Housekeeping and laundry service are also available at Timberland Village for added convenience.
