Dorothy and I love our new twin home at Timberland Village. We liked the idea of
joining a continuum of care for seniors that meets the needs of body, mind and spirit, and
has a full time Chaplain. We can depend on future services and sharing common values.
We believe this decision was a smart financial investment that will allow us a retirement
that is free from uncertainty…and they are virtually maintenance free!

From the Chaplain
Dear Friends,
"Lord you have been our dwelling place throughout
all generations . . . from everlasting to everlasting
you are God." - Psalm 90:1
It rolls around once every year. We all have them. Oh, some have had more than others. It is a perfect time to celebrate. I am talking about Birthdays. Oh, I know sometimes we like to just glide over them, somehow pretending that they are not happening. That however does not change the fact that every year we are one year older.
I believe Birthdays give us the opportunity to stop and to reflect on the amazing treasure of being alive. We have the privilege to be a part of the universe's history.
Birthdays give us the opportunity to wander through the past year and the many experiences that were part of our lives. Birthdays give us the chance to ask - Who was I a year ago? Am I different today? Am I more loving, kinder, and more gracious? These are challenging questions to be sure.
Certainly gratitude will be a part of our time of reflection. There are so many people who grace our lives with their presence and encouragement. We lack for nothing as far as food, clothing and shelter. Even if we have faced a year of challenge we can see God's faithfulness in every day and moment.
Birthdays - a day to celebrate the gift of you! A day to reflect on our lives and the grace and faithfulness that we have known. So whenever your Birthday is - enjoy and have a Happy Birthday!
In the joy of the Lord,
Chaplain Sandy Anenson
