The Households of Bethany includes a team that works continually to create home, community, and family. A Dietary Aide/Homemaker needs to be compassionate with a deep desire to serve older adults and support their right to peace, happiness, unity, and a quality of life.

Dietary Aide (titled as Homemakers) provides for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Performs various housekeeping tasks and meal service for residents in our senior living long term care community. Meals are prepared for the dietary aide by the kitchen. Dietary Aids are in charge of serving meals to the residents and cleaning up after each meal or snack. Each aide has 14-18 residents to serve. We will train!

  • Serves meals and snacks according to instructions

We are in need of a Restorative Aide/CNA. Restorative Aides are health-care professionals who are responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitation care for residents/patients to maintain or regain physical, mental and emotional well-being. Aides in this capacity are at minimum active license as certified nurse assistants (CNAs), with specialized training in restorative care.

Restorative Aides work alongside nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and speech pathologists.

Essential Job functions of a Restorative Aide should be to maintain the Health-related Quality of Life by:

  • Maintaining independence in activities of daily living and mobility is critically important to most people.
  • Functional decline can lead to depression, withdrawal, social isolation, and complications of immobility, such as incontinence and pressure ulcers.

We foster a sense of family by maintaining consistent staff on our households that get to develop meaningful relationships with our residents. We offer large activities but also bring music, events, and activities into these smaller groups as well. Purpose of Your Job Position:
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

Delegation of Authority:
As Social Worker, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Job Functions:

  • – Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the social service programs of this facility
  • – Maintain current knowledge of federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to your direct supervisor
  • – Coordinate social service activities with other departments as necessary
  • – Make written and oral reports/recommendations to direct supervisor concerning the operation of the social service department
  • – Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished
  • – Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies
  • – Ensure that all charted progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to the service
  • – Assist in maintaining a reference library of material, laws, etc., necessary for complying with current standards and regulations, and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality social service
  • – Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information
  • – Performs Social Service admissions functions

  • – Review nurses’ notes to determine if the care plan is being followed. Report problem areas to appropriate nursing staff
  • – Attends scheduled care conferences and identifies and interprets psychosocial needs of residents for inclusion in the care plan, addressing in particular issues of schedule, treatment and environment that express and reinforce individuality and identity
  • – Completes mandatory documentation within timelines established by regulations
  • – Facilitates the social and psychological well-being of residents and their families
  • – Empowers residents and encourages resident choice in matters affecting them, demonstrating receptive attitudes and sensitivity to choices based on racial, cultural and ethnic heritage and sexual orientation
  • – Mediates issues that arise among residents, families and staff
  • – Works with residents and families during times of emotional distress
  • – Provides linkage with appropriate community resources by maintaining knowledge of other systems, making referrals and identifying unmet needs
  • – Provides residents and families with crisis management services when needed
  • Assists residents and families with financial questions and makes appropriate referrals such as Medicare/Medicaid and other financial assistance programs available to the resident

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team here at Bethany Life. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • – Accurately diagnoses and solves problems with cost effective, long-term solutions
  • – Listens to and understands the needs of residents and staff requesting assistance
  • – Coordinates and monitors the quality of maintenance work being performed by outside contractors
  • – Completes maintenance service requests in a timely manner
  • – Quickly and correctly identifies the issue or problem behind the service request
  • – Recommends and implements the most efficient solution to address the maintenance issue
  • – Prioritize and complete safety concerns immediately
  • – Assist with resident moves within the building as needed.
  • – Responds to needs of facility promptly when on call, must live within 30 minutes of facility.
  • – Completes maintenance work on the facility, including performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other related tasks
  • – Assembles, delivers and installs furnishings and equipment for resident care
  • – Assists with grounds work, including lawns, landscaping, snow removal, recycling, debris removal and other tasks
  • – Maintains mechanical and shop areas to facility standards.
  • – Maintains communication with inventory personnel of parts and supplies.
  • – Performs minor routine maintenance and repairs to building systems, including but not limited to, heating ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • – Must live within at 30 minute drive to the facility


Education, Experience and Training
:

  • Relevant experience with assisted living, multi-family or commercial property
  • Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English
